Parent Involvement

PTO PTO

The purpose of PTO is to foster a sense of support, pride, and enthusiasm within the Village Elementary School community.

We believe that relationships between students, teachers, parents, staff, and patrons are a vital influence on the success of our children's futures. Through fund-raising and family activities, our objective is to promote positive school/community relationships and support school programs that enhance our children's educational environment.

Military Families Club Military Families Club

In the 2016-2017 academic year 40% of our students were from military families.  Because of this we've come to understand the very specific needs of our military families. Coronado Military Spouses initially began as a group of military spouses who wanted to connect and support each other with the difficulties of constant transitions.  One of the most important resources for the club is the Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC). This staff member is provided by the US Navy and works full time for the school with the aim of helping families acclimate and provide support to military children and their parents.

ELAC ELAC: English Learner Advisory Council

Our English-Learning Advisory Council provides a venue for families to learn about the school, programs, and resources that are available to students whose second language is English.

It’s a place where we are able to partner with families in hearing and responding to the needs of each child.  The group meets every other month and is open to all.

School Site Council School Site Council

Our School Site Council is comprised of parents, community members, teachers, and other staff.

One of the primary roles of the council is to approve the school budget and strategic plan. We understand the importance of fostering community involvement along with transparency. The School Site Council is the primary place for this to happen. The Council is comprised of faculty and community members and serve a two year term.
